                      Glenbeight to Cahersiveen, 20 miles.
I woke up a year older today,  I'm OK with that, time to walk.
The day started with a 2 hour climb and no breaks, but the view from the side of the cliff we were traversing was spectacular, not that  Caroline saw any of it, she is scared of heights and was somewhat nervous and hiked inside of me and as close to the mountain as possible, she did great.

It felt good to make the crest so we took a break, then had another 1.5 hours of going down along a rocky and very wet bog. I couldn't count the stiles we climbed over as there we're so many, but the sun stayed out enough, but not enough to cook us again.

I zoomed in the camera to the busses below, and you Contiki ites should see something familiar. They were about 1000 ft away

The rest of the day seemed like valley or, river banks, more stiles to climb, and grass paddocks, for miles and miles, but pretty flat terrain.

Little accident today, seems before the next hike I'm gong to have to teach Caroline how to trail poop without dumping a lump on her left boot., but life goes on

one of the old river bridge crossings

My new summer cottage, or a Leprechaun home

We passed some old rock houses, especially this one that had an amazing tree growing in the wall

Coming into  Cahersiveen ,we found the hostel and checked in, grabbed a shower and headed out for a Guinness and a game of cribbage, which I duelly lost.

There is this new form of hiking yoga now according to the girls, this is upwards dog.

This town has a cathedral dedicated to  Daniel O Connel, the only Catholic Church in the world that's dedicated to a layman, and not a saint.
It's a pretty impressive place for a little town like this.
